lobster

This is dedicated to my poor friend 'lobby' who was sadly boiled alive by my neighbors, whilst I was on holiday in Robin Hoods Bay last week. A Mollusc in my Moleskine!

This is part of the whole ultra-cool Buy My Sketchbook thang.

This is a mono print by by next door neighbor Pat Allen. She is a retired art teacher and now a full-time artist and Chair of the Newark Art Club. She is extremely talented and I learn something every time I talk with her. Pat kindly gave this to me. I love the way the knee happened accidentally. Pat said she will be inviting me round to do a print of my own this week!

The Bay Hotel – Chip Nirvana!

Dan Morelle posted a photo:

This place makes the best chips I have ever tasted in my life. I want to license the recipe and sell it around the world. They are awesome. The hotel is also at one end of the Coast to Coast walk - not a bad place to soothe your soul after a blistering 192 mile journey (we plan to do it in the not too distant future).

I got eye in my Sand!

Dan Morelle posted a photo:

So on the beach in Robins Hoods Bay the heat got to me and I felt like doing some doodling however I left my pad at the cottage so grabbed a stick and started walking round the beach. People looked at me like I was mad (fair enough) then after a while people started to stop and stare (pretty mad). Some guessed what it was but I wanted a photo - the only way was to climb up the cliff behind the beach which was a lot of fun until I turned by head around and realized how high up I was. Anyway I survived to tell the tale!
