In the boat

On our last day in Grimblethorpe we hijacked this little boat and went rowing round the private lake for an hour.

The lake was teeming with wildlife and the girls were so exited; they thought it was very naughty to use someones boat without asking (it was part of the deal). They cried when we had to get off.

My arms had begun to recover from the insane trampolining session in Brighton but after this they really ached! Well worth it though, can you imagine how much fun these two had?

On the second day we went to Sutton-on-Sea. The weather was incredible, it was difficult to believe that it was the East Coast of England. Another awesome day on my birthday weekend.

I am committed to going to see the sea at least once a month, it is so energising. This was my second trip to the seaside (on different coasts) within 2 days!

When it goes quiet in our house you know something is wrong. But in someone elses house you panic. We found Rosa on the coffee table waiting to be discovered. She's always up to mischief - i love her.

This is my interpretation of the corner of Boundary and Bowbridge Road in Newark.

Pat says that if I want to improve I need to draw at least an hour a day! I'm finding that pretty hard so I have decided to under achieve in a big way.

I am doing these 2 minute stop draw run sessions when I go for a stroll at dusk. I figure that its better to under achieve and move slowly forward than do nothing at all and go nowhere.
